Town of Riverside
Regular Meeting
February 10, 2022
The Riverside Town Council met in regular session at 6:00 pm at the Riverside Town Hall with Mayor Pro Tem Edward Golden presiding. Councilmembers present were Fred Lorenz and Mark Helwick. Also present was Mike Armstrong representing the Saratoga Sun and Riverside Clerk/Treasurer Jana C. Cook.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Golden led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
MINUTES: Helwick moved with Lorenz seconding to approve the minutes of the January 13, 2022 meeting as presented. The motion passed.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT/BILLS: Helwick moved with Lorenz seconding to approve a Specific Purpose Requisition request in the amount of $2,618.28. The motion passed. Lorenz moved with Helwick seconding to approve the financial statement and pay bills in the amount of $15,812.75. The motion passed. The total amount of bills approved was $18,428.03.
INTRODUCTION OF GUESTS: Golden introduced Mike Armstrong, reporter for the Saratoga Sun.
REPORTS:
CCCOG: Mike Armstrong said he attended the last CCCOG meeting. He said Lenny Leyman spoke about current emergency services and Yvonne Johnson spoke about the Rawlins recycling plant.
SOUTH CENTRAL WY EMSJPB: The council received copies of the October 2021, November 2021 and December 2021 minutes in their packets. Helwick said he would like to talk to Riverside Representative Helen Weiland about the proposed first aid class.
PARKS: 2022 Riverside Party Day; CC Recreation Board Grant: The clerk told the council High Plains Tradition is available to play on August 20, 2022. She also said the recreation grant requesting funds for the park employee salary and to pay High Plains Tradition has been submitted. The grant requested was approved by the council at the January 2022 meeting.
SEWER: No report.
STREETS: No report.
SIERRA MADE JOINT POWERS BOARD: January 2022 minutes: The council received the minutes of the January 2022 meeting in their packets.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE TAX: The fifth requisition in the amount of $2,618.28 was approved earlier.
MOSQUITO: No report.

ZONING/BUILDING: No report.
ACTION ITEMS: There were no action items.
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: There were no additions to the agenda.
CORRESPONDENCE: There was no correspondence.

With no further business being brought before the council, the meeting was adjourned at 6:14 pm.
